IT Coordinator
Pay Range: $26.44 – $32.63, non-exempt position
Schedule: 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week), Monday – Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM. This is an on-site position at the Home Office – Clark Center: 2740 SE Powell Blvd Suite 3, Portland, OR 97202, with occasional travel within Multnomah, Washington, & Clackamas Counties. Some opportunities for remote work.
About the Role
The full-time IT Support Coordinator facilitates technology support and implementation for The Peer Company. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining workplace technology, providing technical support to staff, and assisting the IT Manager with employee onboarding/offboarding, network, and user directory facilitation. The IT Coordinator is part of the Administration department, which supports daily operations across multiple sites and plays a critical role in planning large events, such as Peerpocalypse, the annual peer support conference.
Responsibilities
- Installs hardware and peripheral components such as phones, monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives for workstations.
- Loads appropriate software packages, including operating systems, networking components, and office applications.
- Provides telephone, in-person, and online support to end-users in a timely fashion through a helpdesk application.
- Connects users to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
- Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager and/or users for help requests and projects.
- Sets up new hires with necessary equipment and creates user profiles in all applicable IT systems.
- Assists IT Manager in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures based on industry best practices.
- Provides technology support to Peerpocalypse annual conference.
- Abides by organization policies and procedures, confidentiality laws, professional boundaries, and relevant federal/state treatment regulations and standards.
- Facilitates, documents, and audits organization-wide mobile services.
- Occasional travel for work meetings and projects as needed.
- Assists with other administrative projects and relevant duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Information Technology or similar field preferred.
- Associate's degree with 1-3 years of technical experience OR high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3-5 years of technical experience.
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance, and access to a reliable personal vehicle required.
- Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) search will be conducted; candidates must meet the following minimum driving standards:
- No major driving violations within the past 3 years (e.g., DUI, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident).
- No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years (e.g., speeding, failing to yield, running a red light).
- Criminal background check and pre-hire drug screening required (a criminal record does not necessarily exclude an individual from employment).
Qualifications
- High proficiency with PC systems, tools, and applications, including assembly, troubleshooting, installation, and oversight of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience supporting cloud technology infrastructure environments (Microsoft 365, Google Workplace).
- Experience collaborating with community partners to identify organizational shortcomings and build partnerships to improve outcomes.
- Experience with substance use and/or mental health recovery is desirable and highly valued.
- Understands the principles of trauma-informed care, recovery, and consumer involvement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of standard software (e.g., word processing, graphics packages, spreadsheets/databases).
- Ability to push/pull/lift/carry items up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
