IT Continuity & Resilience Engineer – Specialist in Backup & Disaster Recovery

Role summary

Ensure the stability, security, and resilience of company IT infrastructure across NY, OH, and CA sites. Focus on backups, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability. Work with infrastructure, security, and business teams to plan and optimize continuity strategies. Solve problems quickly while building maintainable, scalable solutions. Work independently toward goals and collaborate well under pressure.

Backup and disaster recovery

• Build and manage backup solutions to protect data integrity and availability.
• Lead and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Perform regular DR testing and validate recovery objectives.
• Maintain clear documentation for DR strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with security on data protection and compliance best practices.

Infrastructure management

• Design, deploy, and maintain servers, storage, networking, and cloud systems.
• Implement high-availability, failover, and load balancing for critical systems.
• Monitor performance, capacity, and uptime to meet service levels.
• Automate and optimize to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Resolve issues quickly and prevent recurrence through root-cause actions.

Incident response and risk

• Act as a primary responder for resilience incidents with minimal downtime.
