IT Category Manager
Joining The American Red Cross is like nothing else—it’s as much something you feel as something you do. You become a vital part of the world’s largest humanitarian network, working alongside welcoming, diverse, and unassuming individuals united in a shared mission. Here, your career grows within a movement that measures success by lives improved, communities strengthened, and individuals empowered. You’ll align your work with a mission bigger than any one of us, supported by mentors, competitive compensation, and a community that values you both professionally and personally.
About the Role
The American Red Cross (ARC) spends approximately $2 billion annually on goods and services, with $1.2 billion strategically sourced (sourceable) across regulated and non-regulated materials, supplies, facilities and equipment maintenance, consulting, and IT hardware and software. The remaining $0.8 billion covers payments to government agencies, grant recipients, inter-Red Cross transfers, and payroll/employee benefits. Of the $1.2 billion sourceable spend, nearly $150 million is allocated to IT goods and services annually.

This role supports Strategic Procurement leadership by ensuring Supply Management meets the needs of IT and business unit clients through IT-knowledgeable category management.
This is a 100% virtual/work-from-home position. While it can be performed anywhere in the U.S., the role requires an East Coast schedule (8am–5pm) with daily and frequent video appearance for meetings.
