IT Business Systems Analyst

About the role

Blommer is seeking a Business System Analyst to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, you will partner with various business units to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, ensuring efficient and effective use of systems across all locations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements.
• Create functional specifications and system requirements.
• Work with third-party vendors to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
• Support end-users and conduct user acceptance testing.
• Train users on new technology initiatives and application systems.
• Implement and maintain systems based on changing operational needs.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage product operations to meet quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in a business system analyst role in manufacturing, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Strong business functional knowledge, particularly in sales order processing, manufacturing, supply chain, formula, and quality management.
• Experience in identifying and resolving business process issues.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP software.
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases, system integrations, data & BI tools, and SDLC methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in creating artifacts like functional specifications, system requirements, data mappings, and interface requirements.
• Knowledge of current computer software, including Microsoft Office and Project.
• Experience with data analysis and validation tools.
