IT Business Partner
About the role
Works in partnership with the Functional Leader, Business Unit Leader, or Business Process Owner to deliver business features using suitable technology. Possesses a strong desire to bring real-world solutions to business needs, using some of the latest industry technologies that end users and customers will love. Demonstrates a strong understanding of how to be a liaison between business processes and technology, leveraging a Shared Service Model within IT to best support the business.
Works directly with business leaders to vet, prioritize, and deliver departmental and Enterprise-level features. Helps implement process improvement ideas stemming from business requests.
Responsibilities
- Own the relationship between Finance and IT.
- Partner directly with the Finance Leadership and Business Process Owners to turn accounting and finance priorities into actionable IT deliverables.
- Ensure IT Shared Services are engaged to meet the needs of the Business Process Teams.
- Prioritize work during program planning in collaboration with the Business Process Owner or Leader.
- Own the technology roadmap that delivers Finance’s priorities.
- Translate Finance leadership’s multi-year priorities into a sequenced IT delivery roadmap across general ledger, job cost, billing, and payroll.
- Keep IT Shared Services, vendors, and business leaders aligned and pulling in the same direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Information Technology Management, or related field, or a combination of related education and work experience.
- Construction or renewable energy experience preferred.
- 7 or more years as an IT Business Partner, Process/Product Manager, Delivery Lead, or Finance Systems Manager, working on enterprise processes with IT components.
- 5 or more years with the financial modules of a major ERP. JD Edwards strongly preferred. Oracle, SAP, Workday, Dynamics 365, or Viewpoint Vista also considered.
Skills
- Construction or renewable energy industry experience, with an understanding of how job cost, progress billing, and field labor flow into the financials.
- Working knowledge of the month-end and year-end close cycle, and how a system change impacts financial reporting.
- Five or more years of experience in JIRA, Azure DevOps, or comparable storyboard technologies.
Pay
$121,680.00 - $176,436.00. Individual compensation to be determined based on the applicant's applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
