IT Applications Engineer VI, Web

This senior technical leader position is responsible for driving the execution of multiple work streams, developing and implementing web-based applications, and leading the development of cloud applications, CMS, and integration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive the execution of multiple work streams by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and updating new procedures and policies; gaining cross-functional support for objectives and priorities; translating business strategy into actionable business requirements; obtaining and distributing resources; setting standards and measuring progress; removing obstacles that impact performance; guiding performance and developing contingency plans accordingly; solving highly complex issues; and influencing the completion of project tasks by others.
• Partner with product teams to understand and define the product vision, and oversee the development and support of end-to-end solutions including architecting, designing, developing, and testing member-facing applications/systems using cloud, content management systems (CMS) and traditional integrations.
• Lead the development of cloud applications, CMS, and integration solutions on a variety of platforms; serve as a lead expert in the research and resolution of technical issues; recommend appropriate interventions/modifications on critical and/or escalated issues; ensure work processes and products meet KP IT security and development standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and eight (8) years experience in software development or a related field.
• Minimum six (6) years experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions development life cycles (e.g., SDLC).
• Minimum four (4) years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
• Minimum six (6) years experience developing and/or implementing web-based applications.
• Minimum four (4) years experience in developing and utilizing cloud based technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
• Minimum four (4) years experience working with web application frameworks (e.g., Angular, HTML5, CSS, GraphQL, etc.).
• Four (4) years experience developing micro services and APIs (e.g., Java, Node.js, NoSQL DBs, etc.).
• Five (5) years experience in utilizing DevSecOps practices (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Mavin, SonarQube, etc.).
