About the role
Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking an IT and Tech Ops Engineer to support global infrastructure and deliver solutions that drive influence operations. This high-risk role involves specialized skills in information security and technical operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance, deployment, and training of technical capabilities.
- Learn, understand, and maintain a variety of capabilities developed in support of the Sponsor’s mission.
- Facilitate the transfer of new capabilities from developers to the Sponsor.
- Maintain knowledge of infrastructure setup to support deployment and execution of capabilities.
- Stay abreast of platform or technology changes that could affect technical methods.
- Ensure capabilities can be deployed quickly to meet customer needs.
- Provide Sponsor officers with technical guidance and troubleshooting support.
- Work directly with technical operators to deploy capabilities, troubleshoot issues, and capture new requirements.
- Collect, collate, and transfer data from various platforms to Sponsor officers for analysis.
- Responsible for physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness.
- Support the maintenance, deployment, and security posture of deployed infrastructure and technical solutions.
- Work with the ISSM and ISO to monitor information systems, update authorization documentation, and implement configuration management.
- Assess security impacts of changes and make recommendations to the ISSM.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with computer networking in Windows and Linux.
- Experience with cloud provider provisioning/procurement (Azure/AWS).
- Experience in a persona-specific environment, website configuration, and web-page building.
- Basic software development, scripting, software testing, and debugging (Linux and Windows).
- Experience building tech-ops plans using available tools and techniques.
- Ability to independently evaluate complex situations and select appropriate technical capabilities.
- Familiarity with social media sites and creation/management/troubleshooting of social media accounts.
- Experience with VPNs (OpenVPN, Wireguard), residential and mobile proxies, and firewall rules.
- Psychological resilience to work in varying conditions, manage time effectively, and adapt to different problems.
- Experience with Tier 1 user support.
- Experience managing cash funds and tracking misattribute procurement, including payments.
- Experience in persona identity handling and operational tradecraft (OpSec compliance).
- Experience with incident tracking tools including JIRA.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- Experience with customer space, CONUS and OCONUS, and how it differs from other cyber activities.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting internet capabilities.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and VPN networking.
- Web development experience.
- Experience with Dark Web and ToR.
- Experience with cryptocurrency exchanges.
- Experience with surveillance detection routes.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting social media accounts and other internet capabilities.
- Experience working with mobile SIMs and eSIMs.
- Experience collecting data from social media accounts and other internet-based platforms.
