About the role
The IT Analyst IV (Law & Justice) supports the County's Law & Justice departments, working directly with the Probation Department, District Attorney, Public Defender, Sheriff, Courts, vendors, and internal DoIT engineering and operations teams. This role involves solving complex operational challenges, modernizing legacy applications, improving service delivery, and supporting technology that impacts public safety and the administration of justice.Responsibilities
- Identify operational needs and guide application enhancements and modernization efforts.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure technology solutions are practical, secure, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Work closely with department leaders, frontline staff, technical specialists, and executive leadership to move projects forward and deliver meaningful results.
- Play a key role in delivering services that meet evolving business needs and transitioning mature solutions to operational support teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT roles, including at least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Experience with ITIL, Agile methodologies, and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, SQL, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on business impact.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to lead and mentor IT professionals.
- Experience with IT infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance standards.
- Experience with cloud technologies and virtualization platforms.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance with laws and regulations affecting IT operations.
Skills
