Reports to the Assistant Technical Manager Support and Chief Engineer. Works closely with Purchasing, Logistics, Marine, Environmental, Water Park Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Contractors, and Vendors.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management
- Manage all technical warehouses, spare parts rooms, storage containers, laydown yards, chemical storage facilities, and secured inventory locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels for over 5,000 technical spare parts, consumables, and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained to support uninterrupted operations.
- Perform daily inventory transactions within AMOS/InFoShip.
- Monitor inventory usage trends and recommend reorder quantities.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate location coding for all inventory items.
- Ensure obsolete inventory is identified and reported.
- Receiving Goods
- Receive all incoming shipments from vendors, freight forwarders, barges, and container deliveries.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
- Inspect all deliveries for quantity, quality, and damage.
- Report damaged or incorrect shipments immediately to Purchasing and Logistics.
- Photograph damaged goods when required for insurance or vendor claims.
- Coordinate unloading activities with warehouse personnel and contractors.
- Ensure all received materials are properly labeled, barcoded, and assigned storage locations.
- Update receiving records immediately upon completion of inspections.
- Digital Documentation & Cloud Uploads
- Scan and electronically upload all receiving documents, packing slips, delivery receipts, customs documentation, invoices, and proof-of-delivery documents into the company’s approved cloud-based document management system.
- Ensure all documentation is uploaded within established service-level timelines to support timely vendor invoice reconciliation and payment processing.
- Maintain organized electronic records that are easily retrievable during audits.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Ensure all supporting documentation is complete before vendor invoices are approved for payment.
- Monitor outstanding receiving documentation and follow up with vendors as necessary.
- Support Finance by ensuring documentation is available for month-end and year-end close processes.
- Purchasing Support
- Generate Stock Wanted Lists through AMOS/InFoShip.
- Review inventory levels and identify replenishment requirements.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to expedite critical orders.
- Assist with sourcing alternative materials during supply shortages.
- Monitor open purchase orders and expected delivery dates.
- Follow up on overdue deliveries with suppliers.
- Warehouse Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Ensure proper storage of hazardous chemicals in accordance with SDS requirements.
- Maintain proper environmental controls for temperature-sensitive materials.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment safely.
- Ensure all storage areas comply with OSHA, Bahamas regulations, and NCLH safety standards.
- Operational Support
- Support inventory requirements for:

- Reverse Osmosis Water Plant
- Wastewater Treatment Plant

- Fuel Farm
- HVAC Systems
- Plumbing Systems

- Emergency Response Equipment
- Support inventory requirements for:
- Financial Responsibilities
- Ensure inventory transactions are completed daily.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation.
- Support annual budgeting for spare parts and consumables.
- Assist Finance with inventory audits.
- Produce monthly inventory reports, usage reports, and KPIs.
- Track CAPEX inventory separately from operational inventory.
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Safety & Environmental Responsibilities
- Comply with all NCLH Safety Management System (SMS) procedures.
- Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Maintain emergency spill response supplies.
- Participate in safety inspections and emergency drills.
- Support environmental compliance initiatives.
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, and manage the performance of Island Storekeeper and the Island Assistant Storekeeper.
- Responsible for scheduling staff as well as collecting, crosschecking, and submitting timesheets.
- Conduct daily meetings with staff and instruct them on follow-up and special projects.
- Interact with staff and appropriate crew to ensure efficient resolution of problems.
Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of warehouse, logistics, or technical inventory experience.
- Minimum three (3) years managing computerized inventory systems.
- Experience with AMOS/InFoShip or equivalent CMMS preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and document management systems.
- Experience using cloud-based file management systems such as SharePoint, OneDrive, or other enterprise document platforms.
Education
Associate’s degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Maritime Operations, or related discipline.
