IS Tech Lead (Cloud)

About the role

The IS Technical Specialist provides technical and consultative support on the most complex technical matters, analyzing, designing, and developing systems based upon user specifications. The role involves providing technical assistance in solving hardware or software problems and maintaining in-depth knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington. The specialist may assist with identifying training needs, training less experienced staff, or serving as a project leader for specific initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, and develops systems based upon user specifications.
• Provides technical assistance in solving hardware or software problems.
• Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington.
• May assist with identifying training needs or with training of less experienced staff.
• May serve as project leader for specific projects.
• Works in conjunction with the solution architecture team to maintain IT and regulatory standards for the environment.
• Must be ready to lead and advise inexperienced technical teams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of related experience or an additional 4 years of related work experience may be considered.
• Proficiency in Python, AWS and/or GCP, and RESTful API.
• Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Office experience.
• Experience working in a multi-platform environment.
• Ability to balance both development and support roles.
• Experience working on projects that involve business segments.
• Agile experience (recommended).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication skills.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $70,000.00 – $140,000.00 USD annually. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.

Exempt Status: Yes (not eligible for overtime pay).

Workplace Type: Office (with potential for flexible work arrangements combining in-office and remote work).
