About the role

Vast is developing next-generation space stations to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing, and unlocking a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers. As the Information Systems Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues, providing timely and efficient solutions. This is a full-time, non-exempt position located in Long Beach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2 support for all Vast Enterprise Systems, including but not limited to ERP, MES, PLM, and other engineering systems (80% of time).
  • Assist with project-related work (20% of time).
  • Serve as the first point of contact for software/application support.
  • Handle license provisioning for engineering and corporate systems.
  • Monitor, respond to, and resolve incidents in an ITSM system while ensuring SLA performance metrics are met (e.g., Jira SM, ZenDesk).
  • Triage project requests alongside day-to-day L1/L2 support.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the enterprise system landscape and functional knowledge of processes.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Manage enterprise application access controls, troubleshoot and reproduce software bugs, and partner with Technical Product Managers on larger projects.
  • Provide support for multiple locations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT or Information Systems support.
  • Experience handling tickets in a service desk.
  • Proven experience with ITSM tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent cross-collaboration communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve difficult technical issues with limited information.
  • Strong troubleshooting and application support skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive attitude.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing/aerospace environment.
  • Experience handling tickets in Jira Service Management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications such as Netsuite, Manufacturo, NX/Teamcenter, and engineering systems.
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence on-prem or cloud configuration.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup or enterprise-level environment.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations and standards regarding IT and data.
  • Experience supporting 800+ end users.

Pay

California pay range: $27—$41 USD per hour. Base salary varies depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
