Responsibilities
- Effectively remove data from all received computing devices as assigned in an efficient and organized manner.
- Clearly communicate with team members any concerns pertaining to these activities.
- Physically prepare, e.g., cleaning, upgrading, downgrading, all IT equipment assigned for process advancement in a timely manner.
- Receive new, redeploy and resale / disposal IT equipment from procurement vendors, campus hubs and acquired practices, to physically and electronically categorize and document to facilitate accurate asset tracking.
- Prepare campus hub transport carts and update appropriate physical and electronic documentation for IT product delivery to process ticketed requests, projects and scheduled IT refresh initiatives.
- Support of routinely scheduled inventory of IT equipment to ensure inventory accuracy for financial and management IT product forecasting and budgetary alignment.
- Show attentive adherence to governmental laws and corporate policy in handling IT equipment which is being prepared for redeployment, resale and disposal.
- Provide collaborative input to all Asset processes with an eye toward continual improvement, most specifically in providing customer quotes for procurement within stated standards and timely customer service throughout the provision process.
- Work with Asset team members to keep building areas organized and maintained for ease in locating IT equipment in a timely manner.
- Monitor the Asset ServiceNow queue to allocate tickets to the appropriate Asset staff member and provide timely customer service.
- Ensure customer service sensitivity in working with all levels of individuals throughout the organization, especially with nonstandard and expedited requests.
- Provide timely PeopleSoft and procurement vendor research for hardware status updates of IT product requests and document within ServiceNow for enhanced customer service.
- Work with IS Project management to organize, store and deliver their IT equipment to ensure excellent customer service for these complicated deployments.
- Contact procurement vendors to request status on current and backorder IT products and clarify nonstandard quote requests.
- Schedule resale / disposition vendor pick up shipments, routine reporting updates and annual account reviews.
- Work with computing device and IT peripheral vendors, e.g., PCs, biometrics, scanners, to provide timely return material authorization fulfillment.
- Attend both Asset and Information Services departmental staff meetings to be aware and accountable for any disclosed communications.
- Routinely facilitate Asset management staff meeting to ensure shared engagement in all Asset process.
- Attend directorial cascade meetings for the OhioHealth Leadership Briefing informational delivery.
- Keep current on all required corporate educational and mandatory training classes.
- Create and post knowledge base articles to the ServiceNow CMDB for organizational support of Asset, e.g., procurement, disposal and IT product related requests.
- Provide input and support maintenance of the eSource Asset departmental web page.
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- ITAM - Information Technology Asset Management - International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers certification.
- A thorough understanding of lifecycle management of computer hardware assets.
- The capacity to provide support for computer asset reports for management and technical staff for budgetary purposes and project planning.
- Input for development and maintenance of online access and reports of computer assets for management.
- Ability to administrate systems to coordinate acquisition, deployment and resale / disposal of computer equipment.
- Knowledge of PCs, computer networks and host-based systems.
- Awareness of security group policies and base image integrity.
- ITIL familiarity with incident and problem management; ability to identify, isolate and communicate problems to appropriate personnel in timely manner.
- The ability to work professionally and collaboratively with IT vendors to provide the best customer service.
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills within a team setting.
- Two years administration, small-scale projects and PC desktops and mobile devices, IT peripherals and software including Windows, MS Office, service Now and MS scamp.
- Significant exposure to/or within a supporting role in computer acquisition, planning and purchasing processes as well as computer networks, development and/or maintenance of technical, budgetary and administrative documentation, including policies and procedures.
