Responsibilities

  • Provides customers with fresh, made-in-store product, focusing on hot foods like rotisserie chicken and sandwiches.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with department and food safety/sanitation standards.
  • Cuts, slices, dices, chops, and prepares food according to recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Uses production planning tools to ensure 100% stock levels.
  • Completes tasks at assigned stations, assists in various cooking venues, and handles catering orders.
  • Masters recipe preparation, accounting for raw material variations and customer demand.
  • Prepares, packages, and stocks fresh products.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

Food Safety / Sanitation

  • Ensures compliance with department and store standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains proper handling and temperature integrity of all ingredients, products, and equipment.
  • Keeps food preparation areas organized and sanitized.
  • Operates and maintains equipment safely.
  • Collaborates with team members to ensure a safe, clean, and productive operation.

Customer Service

  • Provides customers with a sense of urgency regarding accuracy, speed, and freshness of orders.
  • Offers superior customer service at all times, including internal customer service.
  • Accurately produces and delivers eCommerce customer orders.
  • Displays detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Assists guests as needed.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

  • Age Requirement: 18+
  • Work Experience: 1+ years in commercial foodservice.
  • Experience: In food preparation and equipment.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Culinary knowledge, understanding of nutritional values and ingredients, strong communication and interpersonal skills, reading and writing skills, technology skills, planning and organizing skills, culinary math for recipe conversion, ability to execute high-volume production.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Culinary certification or equivalent culinary training/work experience.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Function in a fast-paced, retail environment.
  • Work extended hours and/or rotating schedules.
  • Safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts.
  • Constantly stand, walk, reach at waist, grasp.
  • Frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic materials.
  • Frequently be exposed to heat.
  • Occasionally reach at overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, pivot twist, push/pull with arms, pinch, perform fine motor movements, shoulder circumduction.
  • Occasionally be exposed to wet, cold, ambient temperatures, and loud noise.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lift 80 lbs, and manage in excess of 80 lbs with a team lift.
