Irvine Senior Food Bank at The Meadows

In 1998, Jamboree acquired The Meadows in Irvine, CA, an affordable mobile home park for seniors 55+ that covers 40 acres. The landscaped community includes covered parking and laundry facilities for residents. Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday, Second Harvest brings their Park-It-Market vehicle to the property so families can pick out food for the week.

About the role

Jamboree is looking for enthusiastic and caring volunteers to support our Resident Services Coordinator with our upcoming Food Distribution Event.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to residents’ front doors
• Assist with food distribution
• Help monitor the flow of the event
• Set up & clean up — prepare before and tidy up after the event

Schedule

• Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday
• Dates: August 5, 2026 – December 17, 2027
• Volunteer shift: 12:45 PM to 3:45 PM
• Event time: 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM
• Location: On-site at The Meadows, Irvine, CA

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Complete the required Volunteer Event Waiver after signing up

COVID-19 Guidelines

• Bring and wear a face mask during your entire shift (supplies are limited)
• Take your temperature before arriving — a fever is 100.4°F / 38°C or higher
• Stay home if you have a fever, feel sick, or show any signs of COVID-19
• Volunteers who are well but have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 or is awaiting diagnosis may not volunteer
• Masks must be worn throughout the entire shift
