Irrigation Trainee

About the role

As an Irrigation Trainee, you will assist the Irrigation Technician with irrigation inspections, troubleshooting, and making necessary repairs on high-profile properties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing routine irrigation inspections and generate reports for assigned properties.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems.
• Scout properties for issues beyond assigned needs and report findings to the Manager for repair direction or future scheduling.
• Follow all local, state, and federal guidelines specific to Irrigation policies.
• Maintain required documentation.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work vehicle.
• Complete a pre-trip inspection report on vehicle, trailers, and equipment daily; communicate any issues to the Manager.
• Relay any items or issues observed while on property.
• Contribute to the safety culture by attending and actively participating in weekly safety trainings.
• Follow company safety protocols, identify, and communicate safety issues to the team.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Knowledge of basic pump operation and maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of irrigation clocks, adjusting/repairing irrigation heads, sensors, valve repair, and lateral & mainline repairs preferred.
• Basic knowledge of irrigation system installation, setup, and maintenance preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation to the Branch or first job site.
• Safe driving record and ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report (“MVR”).
• Strong English communication skills. Spanish is a plus.
