Responsibilities
- Accurately diagnose irrigation equipment problems.
- Able to excavate with skill and know where to dig.
- Able to communicate using industry terms.
- Field communications: must be able to effectively follow common diagnostic instructions from senior specialists.
- Program the following controllers and know their working/default modes:
- Irritrol MC series
- Irritrol MC+A
- Irritrol MC+B
- Dial A/B
- Rainmaster Centar and Evolution series
- Have basic knowledge of irrigation design.
- Capable of pipe class, valve identification including the following valves: Hardie 100, Series 700, Weathermatic (all plastic series), Rainbird DV series.
- Capable of nozzle identification and usage.
- Knowledge of basic hydraulics: Valve size, flow demand, static and dynamic PSI and how they affect performance.
- Able to assist in performing an irrigation systems check and repairs or upgrades required for proper coverage and efficient water utilization.
- Able to assist in repairs of large scale irrigation breaks, main line repairs, valve repairs and replacements, track electrical shorts in remote controller programs as well as a lateral line repairs, and irrigation head replacements and adjustments.
Requirements
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate with manager and fellow crewmembers.
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
- Irrigation: 2 years (Required)
- Driver's License (Required)
