EGC Construction, an operating unit of Messer Construction Co., is seeking an Ironworker with Commercial/Industrial experience to join the team. EGC employs more than 120 skilled craft workers focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. They offer general, commercial, and industrial construction including electrical work, millwrights, pipe fitters, and structural steel detailers. What You Will Do

• Rigging structural steel
• Connect and bolt-up of structural steel
• Detail work on structural steel, such as installation of bar joist, bridging, decking, and handrail
• Welding of structural steel (stick welding)
• Rigging of equipment
• Able to understand and follow all safety rules and regulations associated with industrial steel industry
• Using required tools to perform daily tasks as needed

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• OSHA 10 Certified, preferred
• Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills
• Be willing to work within a 50 mile radius
• Ability to travel is a plus
• Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions

Qualifications

• Merit shop contractor supporting a Team working environment
• All Team members will be required from time to time to perform other duties they are qualified to perform, outside of this job description and their normal work function
• All EGC employees are required to comply with our Substance Abuse Prevention Policy as a condition of employment
