Responsibilities

• Assemble and secure structural supports according to specifications
• Use practical knowledge of structural steel assembly and installation
• Operate tools to adjust and fasten steel beams
• Lift and move heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment
• Attach and detach loads effectively
• Communicate with the rigging team (other riggers and crane operator)
• Familiarity with standard crane hand signals
• Able to assess weights of loads and equipment needed to lift safely

Qualifications

• At least 1.5 years of experience as an ironworker
• Compliance with company safety procedures and industry best work practices
• Knowledge of crane signals (hand and verbal)
• Ability to travel for extended periods away from home in remote areas
• Capable of working shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
• Physical demands including working in outdoor weather conditions, maintaining balance on elevated platforms, lifting up to 60 lbs, standing for extended periods, and performing tasks requiring considerable use of arms, legs, and hands

What will put you ahead

• Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment
• NCCER Ironworker certification
• 3+ years previous experience as an ironworker
