Responsibilities

• Assemble and secure structural supports according to specifications
• Use practical knowledge of structural steel assembly and installation
• Operate tools to adjust and fasten steel beams
• Lift and move heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment
• Attach and detach loads effectively
• Communicate effectively with the rigging team (including other riggers and crane operators)
• Familiarity with standard crane hand signals
• Able to assess weights of loads and equipment needed to lift safely

Qualifications

• At least 1.5 years of experience as an ironworker
• Complies with company safety procedures and industry best practices
• Wears an approved full-body harness and lanyard for elevated work
• Knowledgeable of crane signals (both hand and verbal)
• Travel required, including extended periods away from home
• Capable of working shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
• Meets all physical demands of the job

What will put you ahead

• Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment
• NCCER Ironworker certification
• 3+ years previous experience as an ironworker
