About The Role
The Self-Directed IRA Manager oversees operations and real estate-backed transactions involving IRAs, while ensuring top-notch customer service requirements are met. This position monitors opening and closing of accounts, account distributions, rollovers, and customer inquiries, while also ensuring compliance with all government regulators including IRS tax rules and regulations. This role supervises a team of IRA administrators, builds relationships with loyal customers, and acts as a subject matter expert within the department. The role advises customers on issues related to their accounts while remaining impartial and providing guidance within set parameters as defined by regulators. This role is located in our Henderson, NV, branch and is performed on-site.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the Bank’s IRA database, including review of documentation, daily and monthly reports, and account setup.
- Supervise and support the IRA department, including day-to-day management, development, and performance reviews.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Maintain strong knowledge of up-to-date tax laws as related to IRA accounts, particularly as they may impact our customers.
- Educate clientele on all options related to their account(s), while remaining impartial and staying within required laws and regulations.
- Review and prepare end-of-year tax documentation (1099-R, 5498) on behalf of the bank, ensuring accuracy for customer tax filings.
- Build relationships with bank customers and educate potential customers on products and services that match their needs.

Requirements
- 4-7 years’ experience servicing IRA accounts or related experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Managerial experience desired, not required.
- Strong ability to form relationships with potential customers required.
- Strong attention to detail required.
