IR Technologist - Full Time - Evenings - No Call

About the role

We're looking for an IR Technologist to join our team full-time, working evenings. This role collaborates with interventional radiologists and nurses to prepare for and scrub into interventional procedures. Essential duties include preparing for procedures, operating equipment, reviewing images, and assisting with departmental operations.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician orders and procedures
• Utilizes radiology information systems
• Explains procedures to patients
• Operates equipment to complete imaging procedures
• Reviews and ensures diagnostic quality of patient images
• Completes quality control procedures
• Aids in departmental operations
• Adapts to specific patient populations

Requirements

• Completion of a Radiologic Technology program in an AMA approved school
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Licensed by the Louisiana State Radiology Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology preferred

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology preferred
• Computer skills and dexterity for data entry
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Windows-style applications and software packages
• Strong interpersonal skills
