About the role
The Quality Technician is responsible for sampling and laboratory testing of raw and auxiliary materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards and external inspection requirements. Additional responsibilities include implementing the 6S management system, participating in improvement and innovation projects, and ensuring adherence to ISO system standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform sampling inspections of incoming raw and auxiliary materials; record and archive the data.
- Carry out reliability testing as per the inspection plan, track the experimental process, provide feedback on results, and maintain records and reports.
- Organize, archive, and update test records, reports, and methods.
- Aid QA specialists with quarterly document reviews.
- Report and manage expired records, reports, and MSDS in a timely manner.
- Follow laboratory management protocols.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and calibration of testing equipment.
- Support equipment acceptance, metrological verification, reference material control, and waste disposal.
- Address review and audit findings and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Handle emergencies in accordance with the organization’s emergency plans.
- Oversee the storage, labeling, and inventory of laboratory consumables.
- Update the consumables ledger regularly and request restocking when needed.
- Operate testing machines proficiently and stay updated on testing methods and standards.
- Provide suggestions for improving existing testing techniques.
- Participate in technical training, skills assessments, and meet qualification requirements.
- Identify and propose job improvement projects.
- Actively collaborate with other departments on company-wide improvement and innovation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with management system regulations and technical standards to maintain system efficiency.
- Implement corrective and preventive measures following audits and reviews.
- Participate in training sessions and team-building activities to enhance professional skills.
- Regularly provide constructive suggestions to support the company’s growth and development.
