IPU CNA, PRN

Description

Schedule: PRN, minimum requirement of 2 shifts in a 4-week period (Monday-Sunday, anytime)

Here Are The Essential Duties Day To Day:

• Takes vitals once a day per patient
• Performs patient hygiene tasks such as bathing, mouth care, keeping the patient dry, etc.
• Repositions patients every 4 hours, or based on family's request
• Helps with passing out trays for meals
• Records intake and output, empties trash cans, and restocks patient rooms with supplies
• Documents everything done
• Reports changes in patient’s condition, concerns about patient and/or family to appropriate nursing staff in a timely manner
• Participates in interdisciplinary team conferences, shift reports, staff training, agency and departmental meetings, and other related activities
• Up to 4-6 patients a day per CNA

Qualifications

• Required: High School or better.
• Required: Satisfactory completion of an approved nurse aid training and competency evaluation program.
• PREFERRED: One year of experience as a nurse aide preferred but not required.
• Required: CNA license.
• PREFERRED: CHPNA certification.
