IPSC Tech III

About the Role

Total Safety is seeking an IPSC Technician III to join their safety-conscious team. This role involves working under the direction of a supervisor in a plant environment, providing inspection, testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of customer-owned or TSUS equipment. The position requires regular interaction with customers.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, tests, and maintains safety equipment per manufacturer's requirements and documents service according to TSUS/customer policies and procedures.
• Performs basic to intermediate troubleshooting.
• Works with others to stock shelves with clean, tested, and ready-to-use equipment and manages pulling, staging, and loading customer orders onto trucks for delivery.
• Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly condition.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of field experience in fire protection, petrochemical, oil refinery, or a related industry.
• Proficient in issuing, receiving, tracking, and inspecting equipment using company/customer-provided software and providing basic reports.
• Able to effectively communicate with others and build rapport with customers quickly.
• Must work safely and adhere to all TSUS and customer policies and procedures.
• Able to obtain new certifications quickly based on customers' changing environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Associate's degree, technical, or military training strongly preferred.

Working Environment

• Plant environment.
• May be frequently exposed to wet, humid, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
• Works in customer environments.
• May be exposed to high pressure, chemicals, and plant traffic.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
