About the Role
The IPM Technician III performs IPM Scouting and Product application tasks to support the operations within the Cultivation department, while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. This role may also provide support in flower, veg, mom, propagation, harvest, and post-harvest areas as determined by business need.
Responsibilities
- Inspect all plants and rooms across assigned facility
- Complete spray assignments as assigned by management
- Take notes on and assess plant health, pest issues, and cleanliness of grow rooms for daily reports by email and Trulieve SharePoint
- Take plant samples for inspection to identify pests or plant health issues
- Partner with staff and management to identify problems across the grow and collaborate on developing and implementing solutions
- Research pests and plant health issues and how to better deal with them in a compliant manner
- Work independently with excellent time management skills to inspect all rooms in facilities before light cycle switches off
- Deliver verbal presentations for weekly management meetings
- Clean and maintain equipment necessary for the completion of all tasks
- Conduct tasks in mother and clone production areas to increase cultivation skills, including:
- Cutting, sticking, and tagging clones
- Proper clone care, irrigation, and dome management
- Irrigate plants utilizing various methods
- Identify and dispose of green waste
- Document testing results through reports and logs
- Input data into the company database
- Prune and defoliate plants
- Cull plants
- Participate in educational activities to prepare for pesticide licensing
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be able to pass respirator fit testing
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

- Cultivation experience preferred
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA, and WV)
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening
Physical Requirements
- Will be working in close proximity and with cannabis flower and particulates on a daily basis
- Must be able to handle organic matter daily
- Able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection)
- Able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
- Must be able to wear IPM PPE including Tyvek Coveralls, Face Shield, Half and/or Full Face Respirators, and Protective Gloves while mixing, loading, and spraying crops
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods
- Maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, repetitive movements, and reaching
- Use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
- At times, the entire shift may be spent standing and walking
- Requires repetitive hand, wrist, finger, and elbow movement
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and visual inspection involving small parts/details
- Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
- Must be able to communicate with conversational proficiency with co-workers, vendors, etc.
- Working in an environment with equipment that produces continuous low-level sound (moderate noise)
