IP Trademark Docket Specialist
About the role
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is seeking a Trademark Docket Specialist for the Trademark and Copyright practice group Trademark Support Unit. This position will assist and support the growing trademark portfolio management practice.
Responsibilities
- Monitors, reviews, and extracts information from trademark offices, local counsel, staff, and clients globally for entry into our docketing database
- Identifies and communicates pertinent deadlines to lawyers and paralegals on a daily basis
- Works with attorneys and paralegals to ensure all deadlines are satisfied by assessing correspondence and proof of filings
- Programs, runs, prints, and distributes docket reports to attorneys and staff
- Affords assistance with the intake of new trademark portfolios
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Post high school education and experience with CPI preferred. At least two years of trademark docketing experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail. Time management and organizational skills to prioritize work. Self-starter with a professional demeanor and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals with differing opinions and diverse personalities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity using a CRM system, and ability to adapt to new software programs.
Qualifications
