About the role

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is seeking a Trademark Docket Specialist for the Trademark and Copyright practice group Trademark Support Unit. The position reports to the Manager of Trademark Portfolio Services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and updates information from trademark offices, local counsel, staff, and clients globally in the docketing database.
  • Identifies and communicates pertinent deadlines to lawyers and paralegals daily.
  • Affirms deadlines are met by reviewing correspondence and proof of filings.
  • Generates, runs, prints, and distributes docket reports to attorneys and staff.
  • Assists with the intake of new trademark portfolios.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Post-high school education and experience with CPI preferred. At least two years of trademark docketing experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail. Time management and organizational skills to prioritize work. Self-starter with a professional demeanor and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals with differing opinions and diverse personalities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity using a CRM system, and ability to adapt to new software programs.

The base salary wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position will also include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
