IP Physical Therapist - Acute Care Therapy - Full Time

Acute Care at Cox South Hospital’s main campus is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where therapists make a meaningful impact every day. Working across units like the ICU and medical-surgical floors, you’ll gain diverse clinical experience while continuing to grow your skills. Responsibilities

• Assist patients with returning to a normal pattern of movement and functioning through therapeutic exercise.
• Care for patients from pediatric to geriatric age who are referred for medical and educational services.
• Plan and implement prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation services, including mobility devices, counseling, and orientation to improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
• Communicate care to physicians, nurse case managers, and third-party payers.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program (required).
• Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited program of Physical Therapy (preferred).
• Active Missouri licensure for Physical Therapy (required; temporary licensure not accepted).

Skills

• Good clinical expertise, communication, human relations, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with little direct supervision.
• Demonstrated interest in professional growth through continuing education and application of new principles/techniques.
