Job Summary

CoxHealth South is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support the therapeutic exercises, training, and treatment plans for patients at their facility located at 3801 S National Ave, Springfield, Missouri, United States of America, 65807.

About the Role

The Physical Therapy Assistant will assist a Physical Therapist in providing care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric ages, focusing on returning them to a normal pattern of movement and functioning.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient-related activities including delegated procedures commensurate with educational skill and training.
• Communicates care to physical therapy staff or others to evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, or coordinating treatment.

Requirements

• No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Skills

• Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with little direct supervision.
• Demonstrated interest in professional growth through attendance at continuing education workshops and application of new principles and/or techniques.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations

• Required: License for Physical Therapy Assistant active in the state of Missouri.

Day Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
