IP Patent Associate

Job Details

We are seeking an Intellectual Property Associate / Patent Attorney with a strong technical background in Electrical Engineering to join our growing practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications, particularly in electrical engineering–related technologies
• Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and landscape analyses
• Support IP strategy development aligned with client business objectives
• Aid in IP due diligence in connection with M&A, investments, and other transactions
• Advise clients on portfolio management, licensing, and commercialization strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission (or ability to waive into jurisdiction)
• Registered with the USPTO
• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
• 2+ years of relevant patent experience (law firm preferred)
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

$250,000 - $350,000 per year
