About the role
The Intellectual Property (IP) Docket Analyst is responsible for managing the IP docketing process. This involves analyzing incoming mail, running and clearing dockets, preparing reports, and resolving discrepancies and requests.
Responsibilities
- Analyze incoming correspondence related to intellectual property rights and enter pertinent information into the docketing database
- Reconcile client, foreign agent, and attorney correspondence against docketed due dates to ensure accuracy
- Research the Code of Federal Regulations, Manual of Industrial Property, Kluwer IP Law, and other relevant resources to resolve complex docketing issues
- Communicate effectively with attorneys and staff, addressing docket-related inquiries
- Prepare customized reports as needed
- Resolve inaccuracies and other associated requests
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- A minimum of three (3) years' experience in IP Docketing is required
- Knowledge of US Patent prosecution is required; foreign and/or trademark prosecution knowledge is preferred

The actual offered amount will be between the range minimum and midpoint based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.
