iOS Engineer, App Platform

Role

The Role App Platform is Whatnot's client infrastructure team, building the consistent, reliable foundation that every product team builds on top of across iOS, Android, and web.

Responsibilities

• Architecting and maintaining core components and the design system
• Strengthening our networking and persistence layers
• Driving app stability and crash reduction
• Partnering closely with product teams to ensure the "right way" to build is also the easiest way

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Swift, with a deep understanding of iOS fundamentals and SwiftUI-driven UI architecture
• Proven track record of delivering user-facing features
• You are known for shipping products and features lightning-fast
• Excellent product instincts
• You first think about users rather than the best technical solution
• Bonus: Experience with e-commerce or social products
• Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks, analytics instrumentation, or growth experimentation tooling

Qualifications

• Comfortable figuring things out as they go, biased toward action, and genuinely curious about what they're building
• Care more about outcomes than credit and stay close to the product and the people using it

Skills

• Swift proficiency
• Understanding of iOS fundamentals and SwiftUI-driven UI architecture
• Experience with e-commerce or social products

• Compensation Range: $170K - $290K
