About the role
We are seeking a dedicated IOP Program Director to join our team in Sacramento, CA. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission by providing compassionate support and effective therapeutic interventions to individuals seeking recovery. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of those we serve and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the IOP site location.
Responsibilities
- Supervise site IOP SUD Counselors; may have a caseload when necessary.
- Complete utilization reviews to obtain insurance authorizations.
- Participate in client treatment planning and continuum of care.
- Conduct group sessions as scheduled and document as required.
- Assist with modifying behavioral problems, as needed.
- Responsible for initial treatment assessments, as well as follow-up assignments.
- Ensure all documentation regarding client care, treatment, and incidents is completed promptly.
- Provide crisis intervention to clients, as needed.
- Maintain a positive therapeutic environment, providing individual and group counseling.
- Oversee and manage client incidents, ensuring they are addressed promptly and effectively, and ensure that incident reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Complete necessary community referrals and ensure continuity of care with other agencies as needed.
- Conduct assessments, screenings, treatment planning, and manage clients' progress.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess a current and valid certification: SUDCC or CADC.
- Must have at least two years' experience working with clients with substance use disorder.
- Experience in conducting group sessions and one-on-one sessions required.
- Understands the principles and applications of evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
- Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray.
- Experience in electronic charting preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and CFR-42 client confidentiality regulations.
