Protect Patients
Your role starts with meeting patients before surgery, reviewing their medical history, and explaining the importance of neuromonitoring. Throughout the procedure, you continuously monitor electrophysiological data, spot early warning signs, and alert the surgical team in real time.
Partner with Surgeons
You work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff, influencing surgical decisions and patient outcomes through your expertise and communication. Your records ensure data integrity and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Data Integrity
As a key member of the surgical team, you document all findings with precision, ensuring that patient care is documented accurately and comprehensively. Your contributions help improve care for both current and future patients.

What to Expect on the Job
- An active, hands-on role in real surgical environments
- You'll be on your feet, standing, moving, and staying sharp for extended periods
- You'll transport and set up equipment (up to 45 lbs)
- Schedule flexibility required, including on-call availability
- Exposure to OR environments; adherence to safety protocols is essential
Qualifications
- Experience as an IOM professional
- CNIM certified or CNIM-eligible
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
- Minimum 1 year of IONM experience
- Strong foundation in neuroanatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- AHA CPR certified
- Valid Driver's License
- A communicator and a collaborator — equally comfortable working independently or as part of a surgical team
