About the Role
As an Invoicing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Invoicing team in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of medical records released to requestors. You will report to the Invoicing Manager and will help create medical record request invoices, follow through with internal feedback mechanisms, and assist with other duties assigned by the Invoicing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Create medical record request invoices in the MedRelease software
- Follow up internal feedback mechanisms to ensure that any issues are resolved
- Assist the Audit Invoicing Manager with duties, including:
- Resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documents
- Working with other internal teams to resolve issues found
- Responding to invoicing inquiries from 3rd party requesters
- Recording relevant notes on specific requests for further/proper handling throughout the request life cycle

Requirements
- Ability to work quickly and diligently, independently, and as part of a team
- Ability to answer basic department questions
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within company departments
- Ability to make intelligent decisions according to department guidelines

Confidentiality & Compliance
This role requires regular access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and/or confidential client data. The incumbent must demonstrate a strong understanding of confidentiality requirements, adhere to all HIPAA regulations and organizational privacy and security policies, and report any known or suspected unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of PHI immediately to the Privacy Officer or Information Security team. This position also requires timely completion of all required company-sponsored and regulatory training programs.
