About the Role
The Invoicer invoices, tags, and loads customer orders at a fast, accurate pace. They safely and efficiently load trailers and other vehicles by manually lifting and stacking cases of product.
Responsibilities
- Invoice, tag, and load customer shipments in an accurate and timely manner.
- Move product using a pallet jack and hand truck.
- Check out equipment and return it in the same condition.
- Use the Internal Operating System to verify accuracy of shipping details.
- Meet production and accuracy standards and shipping deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior invoicing or shipping experience is preferred.
- Experience with computers and RF scanning equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.
- Basic math skills in counting and quantity.
- May be required to complete and maintain SanMar’s Lift Operator Certification.
- Ability to move product using a pallet jack and hand truck.
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as needed.
- Ability to learn the Internal Operating System and operate a Radio Frequency (RF) unit.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Comprehend verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
- Able to work both independently and within a team.
- Knowledge of internal operating system(s) is necessary to perform the job.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Essential days or overtime may be required.
Work Environment
- Constantly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds.
- Operates powered equipment requiring use of both hands and full range of motion of the neck, head, and back.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, grasp, and perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
- Frequently required to climb stairs, kneel/squat, bend, and carry.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to wear a headset covering one or both ears.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as a protective harness while operating equipment.
- Basic English literacy is required for operation of machines and necessary daily paperwork.
- Work environment is moderately noisy and may involve working near conveyor systems.
- Exposure to dust and changes in weather conditions.
- Work is performed under typical warehouse conditions with potential hazards from machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and mechanized systems.
- Fast-paced and hectic work environment.
- Regular exposure to ambient lighting and occasional exposure to extreme heat and cold, including outside weather conditions.
Pay
Hourly salary range: $16.50 - $20.00, depending on experience.
