About the role
D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking an Investor Relations Manager to report to the Vice President of Investor Relations. This role supports the execution of the company’s Investor Relations program and communications, working closely with the SVP, Head of IR and VP – IR.
Responsibilities
- Understand Regulation Fair Disclosure and assist with reference documents and presentations for quarterly earnings calls and financial reporting.
- Communicate key findings and trends to the Investor Relations team.
- Manage and refresh the company’s Investor Relations website through coordination with a third-party vendor.
- Track and log investor interactions (calls, meetings, conferences) in the company’s third-party database.
- Prepare presentations, analyses, and spreadsheets/reports for investor, analyst, and management requests.
- Conduct peer analysis by researching public homebuilders, monitoring SEC filings, and summarizing earnings calls to alert the IR team of significant announcements or changes.
- Participate in investor/analyst calls.
- Assist with collecting, analyzing, and presenting investor feedback, analyst positions, stock price movements, and ownership analysis.
- Assist in selecting, educating, and supervising outside IR consultants and service providers.
- Manage calendars, appointments, meetings, and conference room arrangements.
- Coordinate conference registrations and attend/participate in select conferences.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams (accounting, finance, SEC counsel, senior management).
- Complete and submit surveys, such as local business journal requests.
- Travel overnight as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business or a related field.
- Two to five years of related experience.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and email.
- Ability to sit for the majority of an 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Close vision and peripheral vision abilities.
- Moderate noise level tolerance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience in public accounting or similar finance experience.
- CPA (or CPA exam eligible).
