Role Overview
Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Investment Quality Reviewers. This is not a traditional employment role. Investment Quality Reviewers operate as independent contractors and are activated through Initio Sphere’s certification and verification process. Once Approved, Reviewers are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform. Gain access to real, paid investment quality review work, support investors, fund managers, and operators by reviewing the quality and readiness of live transactions, and build a verified investment quality review track record and Analyst Rating Score.
Certification Tiers
- Senior Investment Quality Reviewer: Rating Score: 90–100, Pay: $150–200/hour, Typical Background: Former investment banking, private equity, venture capital, asset management, transaction advisory, or senior consulting professionals with 5+ years of investment evaluation experience
- Lead Investment Quality Reviewer: Rating Score: 80–89, Pay: $100–150/hour, Typical Background: Finance professionals with 3–5 years of deal analysis, diligence, or investment review experience
- Investment Quality Reviewer / Associate: Rating Score: 60–79, Pay: $50–100/hour, Typical Background: Entry to mid-level analysts with strong technical skills and exposure to private market transactions
What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)
Depending on certification approvals, Investment Quality Reviewers may be engaged to:
- Investment Quality & Readiness Review: Evaluate overall quality, completeness, and coherence of investment materials, assess whether transactions meet institutional standards for investor review, identify gaps, inconsistencies, or unsupported assumptions, determine readiness for diligence, capital raising, or investment committee review
- Financial & Valuation Review: Review financial models for accuracy, logic, and assumption integrity, evaluate valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparable companies, precedent transactions), assess sensitivity, downside, and scenario analyses, review capitalization structures and sources & uses
- Diligence & Risk Quality Assessment Review: Quality of Earnings (QoE) analyses and diligence findings, assess clarity and rigor of commercial and operational diligence, identify key risks, red flags, and quality concerns, support investment memo refinement with quality-focused feedback

Note: Reviewers may only perform work in categories they are specifically approved for. Approvals are earned through assessment and demonstrated performance—not tenure.
How Reviewers Start Earning
Complete the Investment Quality Reviewer Certification Assessment or approved training, Receive category-specific approvals (Quality Review, Model Review, Valuation Review, Diligence Review), Get verified on the Initio Sphere platform, Begin earning immediately through hourly quality review assignments and live deal work
No Cold Applying. No Unpaid “experience.”
Verified reviewers are actively promoted to investors and deal sponsors.
Certification & Eligibility
To qualify, you must meet at least one of the following:
- Score ≥70% in at least one category of the Certification Assessment
- Complete Initio Sphere Financial Training
- Hold an active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)
