Responsibilities
- Aid in producing client performance reports in Addepar, including return, benchmark, and exposure data.
- Help reconcile performance and holdings data across custodians, fund administrators, and internal systems; flag discrepancies for review.
- Support advisors with performance-related questions and report customizations.
- Build and maintain recurring internal reports on firm-wide positioning and performance using Addepar, Morningstar, and FactSet.
- Execute ad-hoc data pulls and analytical requests for the investment team, including manager comparisons, exposure summaries, and simple attribution work.
- Maintain and update performance templates used in alternative investment decks and internal presentations.
- Build comparison exhibits showing platform funds versus relevant benchmarks and peer groups.
- Produce quarterly and annual performance tear sheets for platform funds.
- Apply the firm's quality control and version-control standards to ensure consistent, accurate outputs.
- Build and maintain Excel models tracking fund-level performance metrics (IRR, TVPI, DPI, RVPI, MOIC, PME).
- Create charts, graphs, and dashboards visualizing investment exposures, asset allocations, and performance (MTD, YTD, 3-Year, and Inception-to-Date).
- Update fund pitch decks, fact sheets, and performance reports with refreshed performance data, fund profiles, platform AUM figures.
- Update relevant Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) responses as needed.
- Absorb and apply the firm's tools, processes, and investment philosophy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (recently completed or in final year) in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, statistics, computer science, data analytics, or a related field.
- Preference for coursework or projects in performance measurement, portfolio theory, or alternative investments.
- Internship experience at an RIA or other financial services firm preferred.
- Experience with or interest in financial data platforms (Addepar, Morningstar, FactSet, Bloomberg) or analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python).
- Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data cleaning) and strong PowerPoint skills for clear, professional visuals.
- Foundational investment knowledge including familiarity with asset classes, basic return concepts, and portfolio construction.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy.
- Clear written and verbal communication; willingness to ask questions and incorporate feedback.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
