We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our Loan Capital Markets group. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a market-leading platform in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, supporting the origination, structuring, execution, and syndication of loan capital markets transactions for corporate, sponsor, and project finance clients. The team operates in a highly collaborative environment and provides direct exposure to senior bankers, clients, syndicate banks, and credit and market risk partners.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior bankers in the execution of loan capital markets transactions, including corporate revolvers, term loans, acquisition financings, and project finance across a number of industries and financing advisory mandates together with the coverage teams for sponsors, corporate clients, and project finance.
  • Take ownership of transaction processes and coordinate key workstreams, including leading internal and external calls, transaction deliverables, documentation review, and client materials preparation.
  • Provide clients with timely structure, market and syndication updates, insights, and actionable financing ideas.
  • Prepare pitch books, client presentations, transaction materials, market update materials, and syndication strategies.
  • Collaborate with coverage bankers, underwriting and credit, legal, and other internal teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.
  • Support the team in maintaining and building strong client relationships through effective communication, thoughtful analysis, and exceptional service.
  • Update and maintain relevant comps and other loan-related databases to help formulate pricing, structure, and other transaction terms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, leveraged finance, project finance, credit, or a related financial services role, with a strong preference for a prior role in a loan capital markets position.
  • Strong understanding of capital structure analysis, loan and fixed-income products, credit ratings, loan syndication dynamics, corporate loan, project finance and sponsor-backed lending, and loan capital market dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, financial modeling, and fixed-income valuation.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to operate efficiently under tight deadlines in a lean team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Series 79 and 63 licenses.

Pay

The expected base salary ranges from $175K - $225k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
