About the role

As an Investment Consultant (IC) at Schwab, you have the opportunity to learn and grow within our Branch Network at the ground floor. The IC role provides the exposure and experience required to advance in this challenging space.

Responsibilities

• Learn and build a book of business through proactive, outbound calls to existing Schwab clients, uncovering opportunities through needs-based analysis and positioning appropriate products and solutions.
• Observe and learn from skilled Financial Consultants (FCs), focusing on delivering unparalleled value and service through collaboration and mentoring.
• Gain knowledge of brokerage/banking products and services, and develop a passion for gaining such knowledge.
• Build strong client relationships, leveraging business development experience if applicable.

Requirements

• A valid and active Series 7 license is required (may be obtained under a condition of employment through Branch Network Licensing Program)
• A valid and active Series 66 (63/65) license is required (may be obtained under a condition of employment)
• A valid and active Life and Health Insurance license is required (may be obtained under a condition of employment)
• 2 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred
• Ability to leverage Business development experience preferred
• Passion for gaining knowledge of brokerage/banking products and services preferred
• Openness to building strong client relationships preferred
