About the role
The Insurance Investment Banking Group at Piper Sandler is seeking an experienced Vice President to join their team. This role is based in New York City or Chicago.
Responsibilities
- Lead junior bankers throughout a transaction, including reviewing work, setting expectations, and providing constructive feedback
- Provide analytical and financial modeling skills to support client needs
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Write compelling selling memorandums and presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of investment banking experience; MBA degree and 3+ years of investment banking experience
- Meaningful M&A transaction experience, particularly in sell-side M&A and the insurance industry
- Strong business writing skills, including the ability to write compelling selling memorandums and presentations
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
- Effective client management skills

Pay
The anticipated starting salary for individuals expressing interest in this position is $250,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
