About the role

The role is for an experienced Vice President to join the Transportation & Logistics Group in Richmond, VA. This group serves as trusted advisors to investors and company leaders worldwide, focusing on M&A and private capital advisory services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead M&A advisory activities across the transportation and logistics sector throughout all phases of the deal lifecycle
  • Serve as a senior leader on transaction teams, overseeing the integrity of valuation analyses and financial models developed with Analysts and Associates
  • Actively lead drafting sessions, due diligence meetings, and conversations with clients and counterparties
  • Manage client communications and relationships in partnership with senior bankers
  • Identify data trends and articulate their impact to internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee and mentor Analysts and Associates on active transactions
  • Lead the development of pitch materials and descriptive memoranda
  • Balance delegation with collaboration to maximize junior banker development
  • Lead by example through delivering accurate, thoughtful work product
  • Participate in new business development efforts and client presentations
  • Contribute to junior banker training programs and firm-wide initiatives
  • Engage in marketing, diversity, and community outreach efforts

Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry-relevant experience in investment banking or a related field
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial analyses and valuation methodologies
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certifications preferred
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Must obtain FINRA licensing (SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63) within 90 days of hire
