Investment Banking - Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions ( M&A)
About the role
PKP Investment Banking is seeking an experienced and motivated Vice President to join its rapidly growing M&A advisory practice. The ideal candidate will play a key role in pitching for and executing middle-market sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions for a diverse range of industries. PKP Investment Banking focuses on providing high-quality M&A advisory services to privately held family and founder-owned companies with revenues between $15 million and $350 million. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the firm's growth and success, with potential for rapid advancement.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day project management
- Interface with clients and take a lead role in executing transactions
- Oversee buyer and market research
- Oversee financial modeling and analysis
- Develop and participate in pitch presentations
- Hire and train junior staff
- Review work product of others
- Identify new business opportunities and develop business relationships
- Contribute to marketing, process, and system improvements
Requirements
- Ability to independently lead M&A transactions with reasonable support from senior bankers
- Agile leader that can exercise sound judgment under pressure
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven project management and leadership skills
- Detail oriented but with ability to see the big picture
- Self-starter and driven but effective working as part of a team
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week
- 4 year degree or MBA from a top-tier business school
- Six or more years of M&A advisory experience focused on serving privately owned companies in the middle market
- Series 79 and 63 licenses
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $150,000 - $175,000. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
