Investment Banking Sr. Analyst / Associate– Debt Private Placements

About the role

The Debt Private Placements Group is a newly launched team within Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., dedicated to raising capital for the firm's investment banking clients via the private credit market across various sectors and credit asset classes. Led by an experienced industry veteran, the team works closely with Oppenheimer’s Industry Coverage bankers to provide comprehensive solutions to high-growth, entrepreneurial, middle-market companies.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day transaction execution under direction of the Head of the Debt Private Placements Group
• Lead pitch drafting as well as transaction marketing documents
• Prepare and review complex financial analyses and models
• Present materials internally to senior bankers and externally to clients of the firm
• Expand and develop client relationships with key institutional investors
• Liaise with both internal and external parties to expand corporate relationships and drive day-to-day deal process
• Develop an in-depth understanding of our sectors
• Analyze and present deal data for senior level management teams and corporate issuers
• Support new business and marketing initiatives as appropriate
• Demonstrate a commitment to the group’s success on new opportunities, mandates and overall growth

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Credit, Leveraged Finance, or similar roles
• Strong Microsoft Office skills essential
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Organized and proactive

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 at the time of this posting. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
