About the role

Our New York City office is looking for an Investment Banking Analyst to join the Mergers and Acquisitions Group. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts, strategic advisory assignments, and executions of public and private capital markets transactions.

You will work closely with professionals throughout the firm to deliver high-quality advice to our clients and play an important role on a team that includes senior professionals who will encourage you to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.

Responsibilities

  • Support complex M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.
  • Assist with strategic advisory assignments and executions of public and private capital markets transactions.
  • Collaborate with senior professionals to deliver high-quality advice and innovative solutions to clients.
  • Analyze financial data, market trends, and transaction structures to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Up to 1 year of experience in investment banking or capital markets (required).
  • Experience in the M&A industry is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • Series licensing or willingness to obtain it.

Pay

Expected base pay for this role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base pay is determined on an individualized basis and is part of a total compensation package that may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short- and long-term incentive packages, and Morgan Stanley-sponsored benefit programs.
