About the role

Our Investment Banking and Capital Markets business is focused on serving sovereign, corporate and financial institution (including multilateral) clients across all of Latin America and the Caribbean. The Desk is integrated into Deutsche Bank’s global platform, working alongside coverage bankers and other product-specific partners across our offices in New York, Europe, Asia and Brazil.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct all aspects of the bond execution process, including origination, documentation, marketing, and distribution; daily tasks will vary depending on the phase of the current transactions.
  • Create presentation/pitching material for potential deals, as well as summaries of economic and market development.
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of debt markets, Latam sector financing activity and client developments.
  • Effectively communicate pertinent market and business information to clients and colleagues.
  • Build and manage client relationships through active client dialogue (phone, writing, meetings), to understand and meet their needs.
  • Engage with colleagues across DCM, syndicate, sales, trading and banking to identify themes and opportunities relevant to client coverage.

Requirements

  • Significant network and experience within the arena with extensive, product and market knowledge.
  • Strong technical and academic background.
  • Relevant experience (Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Credit Markets preferable).
  • Strong interest in career progression within Debt Capital Markets.
  • Experience in market trend interpretation.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to understand broad business issues, their potential implications and to make sound business recommendations.
  • Dynamic, agile, highly motivated. Able to navigate, adapt and thrive in a constantly changing/evolving global bank.
  • Working knowledge of the Bloomberg Expectations.

Skills

  • Develop and cultivate strong client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with other parts of the bank to offer multiple products and solutions to clients.
  • Identify issues, gaps and process improvements through open communication both internally and with other bank areas, and through the monitoring of productivity against benchmarks.
  • Ensure that bank policies and guidelines applicable to the division are complied with to ensure that risk is appropriately mitigated.

Pay

The salary range for this position in New York City is $200,000 to $275,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
