About the role

Join Barclays as an Investment Banking Healthcare, AVP, where you’ll play a key role in projects such as company valuation, strategic advisory, and execution of debt and equity offerings. You will develop financial analysis and modeling, conduct industry research in coordination with internal teams related to financing or sales, and ensure fast and unparanned customer service to clients. You will build and maintain relationships with clients, understand their needs, expectations, and financial goals to develop and propose appropriate investment banking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients by understanding their business, financial goals, and industry trends.
  • Generate ideas and identify opportunities that expand the bank's client base and generate new business.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client companies to assess their financial health and valuation.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review, draft, and maintain legal documentation required for transactions, including contracts and agreements.
  • Work with other teams, such as Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research, and Risk Management, to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Champion Energy Transition and Sustainability by engaging with clients on their climate, transition strategies, and sustainable finance opportunities where applicable.
  • Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver work that impacts the business function.
  • Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes if in a leadership role.
  • For individual contributors, lead collaborative assignments, guide team members, and identify new directions for projects.
  • Consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work closely related to other areas, requiring an understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work to keep up to speed with business activity and strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information, including sensitive or difficult content, to various audiences.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience contributing to large deal/transaction execution for corporate clients in Investment Banking.
  • Direct experience in Healthcare Corporate Finance.
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Experience with confidential investor presentations and financial assessment.

Skills

  • Live deal experience.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to present multi-layered ideas to clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skills in risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology.

Pay

Base salary range: $175K – $225K.

Location

This role is located in New York, NY and is regulated by FINRA.
