Investment Banking - Diversified Industries - Vice President

Job Responsibilities

• Support equity and debt capital raises and sell-side and buy-side M&A (Merger and Acquisition) processes
• Lead transactions including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, other equity capital markets activity, high yield debt issuance, and other debt issuance in the North America diversified industrials space
• Analyze detailed corporate and financial information and conduct detailed due diligence
• Create financial models and perform valuation analyses using methods such as discounted cash flow, transaction comparables, public market comparables, leveraged buyout analysis, and public market overviews
• Create pitch books and ideas to present to clients on potential acquisitions, divestitures, and capital structure alternatives
• Train analysts and associates
• Lead day-to-day client dialogue, idea generation, and transaction execution
• Build relationships with key decision-makers at companies in the diversified industrials industry globally
• Possess the ability to prospect new clients not covered by the investment bank to expand the coverage universe

Required Qualifications, Skills, And Capabilities

• Minimum of four full years of investment banking industry coverage experience post-MBA or minimum of five full years of investment banking industry coverage experience post-undergraduate
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work)
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions
• Adaptability, able to manage projects independently and be ready to assume a high level of responsibility as a member of a team
• Comfortable interacting with clients in a professional and mature manner
• Experience with sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition processes
• Experience with equity and debt capital raises
