Investment Banking Associate - Technology

About the role

As a member of the Technology Investment Banking team, you will work with the team’s senior bankers on deal execution, client coverage, and new business development. This role combines deep technology sector expertise with requisite investment banking skillsets including strong team building, financial analysis, and process management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• A combination of execution and client coverage including valuation, financial analysis, strategic analysis, due diligence, deal financing, and process management
• Business and industry research and analysis
• Preparation of transaction marketing materials and high-quality client deliverables
• Development, training, and mentoring of junior bankers assigned to projects

Requirements

• Outstanding academic qualifications; MBA or other relevant graduate degree desirable, but not required
• A minimum of 3 years of total investment banking experience
• Demonstrated track record within the Technology sector; specific Software experience is strongly preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of the corporate banking business and its related products, pertinent regulations, and lending and credit approval processes
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• SIE, Series 63, and 79

Pay

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $175,000 and $200,000 per year. Base pay may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave).
